Rules

Life doesn't really make sense.
There's no system, no logic.
And we try with our rational minds to make it make sense.
We create rules and beliefs and laws to govern us free-floating, autonomous agents
as we unpredictably pitch and twist and lurch and sway into one another.
We want to feel like we have some control over our lives,
that the mass of people careening has meaning.

Rules don't really last in reality.

People want to be happy.
Sometimes happiness comes from places we don't expect,
places our rules don't accept.
But rules are general things that never truly understand the people involved in the situation,
the autonomy and unpredictability of people
or life.
