Catching Up
I reverted to my caveman persona around the beginning of September. This character of mine arrives when I have been drained of everything that is Taylor. I put so much of myself into life, school, work, others and occasionally I find out that there is very little of me left. What remains is the caveman. This person does not socialize well, likes to sleep and read and grunts when spoken to. Being a caveman, I hide away in a cave during that time, to protect others from the grunts and club swinging (of course as a caveman I would have a club) but mostly to protect myself, accrue plenty of self-serving time to refill the Taylor bank and feel more like a person and less like a husk or drought-dried leaves.
This is why my last insert into the blog was ages ago. I still lived life, I just didn't feel like documenting it at that time. Now I feel like me and would like to remember these times.
For those of you who know, I was in a wedding. Weddings are beautiful, busy, time-consuming, momentous occasions that cost more money than you would ever imagine, suck up all thoughts and actions the closer you get to them and basically drive everyone into varying bits of insanity, involving fancy outfits, tons of presents, lots of food, fears of nature and weather, presentation, rules, obligations and lots and lots of pictures. I luckily had laid back friends. I am sure crazy goes up in ratio to the tense, high strung, anxious or up-tight characteristics found within people. The higher those qualities...well,
the crazier weddings will be.
It was a beautiful wedding. I cried. I didn't think I was the type but you learn something new every day. My practical side and romantic side are constantly warring to see who will control my emotions and tear ducts.
I was also exhausted afterwards and now seriously consider elopement. I think Justin's against me on that one. He wants a party. He is the social one in this relationship.

I made this dress with my mom over the summer. I was a lot of fun. We changed the pattern and bought another and you would not believe how much material is in the skirt.
Justin is wearing pink to match me. He pulls it off really well.

Here are Miranda's maids. Her sister, the maid of honor, is the third back. Second to the last is Katy, the matron of honor. Lauren, in the very back, was amazingly on top of things and helped Miranda out tons for the wedding.

I love moments like these, where people aren't aware that a photo is being taken. I think it captures so much more.

Poofy dresses are fun to wear.

We're all wild women.

In this picture the photographer has asked all of the guys to squat in this pose. Justin is objecting in this one because he thinks it will make them all look like they are pooping.

That's why he looks so awkward here. I can't help laughing whenever I see this photo.

They look very debonair.
