Justin's Iguana

Justin for the past three years has been dreaming of an iguana tattoo. If you don’t know, Justin has eczema and feels red all the time. He has wanted, for a while, an iguana in soothing blues and greens. He even almost got it from this one artist. It was not the right time, mainly the guy was a jerk who had this “ooohhhhh I’m an artist and I know everything and I don’t think that you should, blah, blah, blah”. He was full of himself in a cocky insecure way and degraded Justin’s dream tattoo. Justin is the one who has to live with it for the rest of his life. The tattoo artist tried to tell Justin what Justin should want on his arm. I indignantly stormed around the apartment after leaving the tattoo parlor, railing at the pretentious arrogance of this man and we crossed this artist off our list. Ooohhh. I am so riled up about this jerk again.
Well, Justin happened to meet a tattoo artist, somewhat serendipitously, in his ice cream shop. The tattoo artist, Paco, gave Justin his card, Justin checked him out and was very impressed with his style. Paco has very sharp, skilled, vibrant work and Justin knew immediately that this was the guy to do his arm. The brilliant thing about Paco, besides the fact that his art rocks, is
that he listened to what Justin wanted. He took an idea of Justin’s and brought anything that Justin could have ever hoped for into the physical realm. An idea that had been building for three years has a tendency to reach an unattainable height but Paco met Justin’s requirements and to some extent, surpassed both of our imaginations.
Justin had his first sitting tonight and here are the photos of the tattoo, back at the house, after a celebratory dinner at
The tattoo is huge. The photo above looks like the iguaga is angry but it isn't.
It has very kind eyes. The picture below captures that a bit better.
