Fearless
Fearless she said. Fearless I seemed. Far removed from four months ago when the pounding of my heart could rattle my body, could drown out the sound of the world, could blind my eyes.
I lived a half-life of brave deeds. Bold, spit-in-your-eye defiance, combined with a climbing spirit that refused to accept any restrictions to dreams. My answer to can’t was “watch me”… partially. How do you reconcile cowardice and courage depending on the circumstances?
Two-sides vying...
One side of overworked muscle trying to pull along the rest that hung there lifeless.
Four months ago, almost forgotten. Change can happen so fast.
Now…Fearless she said.
