Saying More By Staying Quiet

Sometimes I need to stay quiet.
Close my mouth before the words get out.
Not everything needs to be said.
Not everything wants to be said.
More than I should...
I say more than I should.
And I want those words back
Those words I said.
But they are there
Shaping our world now
Shaping me
I am embarrassed by what can now be seen.
